Sing your song

Life is awesome! I am already done with two classes and some finals. In one of my classes we had to talk abouting singing our own song or a mission statement. My song I am singing is that I need to enjoy my time right now. So often I look to the future and look forward to a future event and than the event passes.....I need to enjoy my time now! I don't believe we are put in situations or places by accident. Everyplace, everywhere we can learn something new. So I challenge you to find your song.

Whale Rider

Last night I watched a movie called "Whale Rider". This movie was made in New Zealand about a village. Some parts of it are fantasy, but I was really impressed about the traditions that the village introduced. I was really impressed that villages all around the world have kept such strong traditons from their ancestors. I think the most we have kept is Christmas and Thanksgiving. Anyways an exciting thing I have joined is SAA (Student Alumni Association) We get to help the school do various activities and was get to do stuff also. In a couple weeks we are going up to Teton Lodge for a retreat. It is a fun group so far and I got a free t-shirt!

Lessons in Life

Hello Hello! I am not trying to be negative, but the past two days or so have been humbling. It feels like lesson after lesson have been knocking on my door. Reality has hit me how much I could improve on in all aspects in my life. Like today I got a 1 out of 7 on a quiz, it really was quite humbling. I don't know, all I know is that I know something and that Christ will make up the rest.

Hello Family and Friends! Above are some the many pictures that have been taken at BYU-I during the first half. Crazy huh? We are almost half way done with a semester! What frustrates me about college, is all I do is study, but my grades do not show the result of a dilligent student....... I am also the baby in everything! Well, I love you all and hope to talk to you soon!

College

A month has gone by since the adventure of college has appeared. It has been good. I have learned a lot by myself and other things. The time has come for at least a part of me to grow up. I feel I have grown for the better. One thing I have missed a great deal is Mom and Dad. They are amazing! I guess it is good that I am learning now how to be away from Mom and Dad, then seven months from now. Mom and Dad I am sorry I did not cherish you enough when I was at home. I love you!

College is just around the corner

College is coming on Saturday! Wow it was a crazy and exciting adventure finally graduating from high school. It was sad though last Tuesday when I had to say goodbye to my amazing friends. They made me realize how blessed I truly am. I am sad to leave to Star Valley, it has become my home. I am excited for Rexburg and the new things waiting to be discovered. I would not say that I am afraid, but I know it will be new.

I went with Tiffany(pictured above) to Sadie Hawkins. We made our own t-shirts and it was really fun. The theme was pirates and I wore a bandana and a fake ear ring. It was a good last dance. We are staying at home for thanksgiving and I am excited. I think it is the first thanksgiving that we have stayed at home. I posted the joke because I liked it a lot.

We had our rewards night on Thursday. We got given pictures and placs. We are given a nickname each year and mine was "no hatracks." I often did not moved my arms and so I was suppose to have "no hatracks."

Two months! I am so excited for college. I know it is a milestone in my life and I have had to work really hard to achieve. I did not talk till I was four. I was predicted to have a tutor all through high school and if I went to college I would have to have a mentor there also. Heavenly Father is loving and amazing and he makes our weaknesses our strengths. So I have two months, till a new adventure awaits.

What Old People Do For Fun

Oh so funny!!!

Here's a joke..

A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies: 'I have a question to ask, but I don't want to offend you.'She answers, ' My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive.' 'Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.' She responds, 'Well, let's see what we can do about that ---- 1) you have to be single and2) you must be Catholic.' The cab driver is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!' 'OK' the nun says. 'Pull into the next alley.' The nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. 'My dear child,' said the nun, why are you crying?' 'Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and... I'm Jewish!!' The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm on my way to a Halloween party!'

Homecoming!

I went to Homecoming with Alicia Inskeep! She was super fun and I am glad I asked her. We ended up with 22 people in our group! It was really big, but I enjoyed it.
My first time to hold a chicken was last year! It was so funny! It kept squaking at me and chasing me. Well, it finally let me hold it....then it went to the bathroon on my shoe! I couldn't breath for a while because I was laughing so hard.

Moving...again!

Holy Cow! How many times is this Mom and Dad? I guess in a sense I am not moving because I will be going to college, but at the same time Mother and Father are heading toward to Cedar City Utah. I had to tell my amigos the fateful news today how I will not be coming back to Star Valley as often as I planned. They also probably won't be able to come to my going-away-missionary-talk ( not farewell) because I will be speaking in Utah. Sigh, yeah, but isn't it awesome for Mom and Dad? Yippe!

STATE XC!

Wow! What crazy fun! My final year of XC is almost finished. We have a exiciting nine hour bus trip to Sheridan, Wyoming, then we compete on Saturday. It is super fun, but sad at the same time. I feel old.
